Our Story

This is us! We are the family behind Wild Wood Goods. Meet Justin – the man behind the tools– and Leah the woman behind everything else! We also have 2 littles, Blake & Lilly, who are the dictators of our schedule and usually help in the shop by wheeling around on the stools and sword fighting with scrap wood!

What originally launched as a fundraising initiative to send Leah to compete amongst the top triathletes in the world at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships soon grew into much more as our community continued to grow.

We strive to tell a story with each authentic, handcrafted piece by sourcing quality materials and unique species of wood. From end grain prep boards, butcher's blocks, and animal inspired charcuterie boards, to resin art pieces and custom furniture orders, we are your friendly neighbourhood team of go-getting woodworkers who bring you the best quality wood goods for your home!

Through our woodwork, we've been able to connect with amazing communities like DMI therapy (Dynamic Movement Therapy). If you live in North America, we are the sole providers of DMI Box sets and more information can be found by clicking the DMI tab above.

Meet the Team:

Justin is an engineer by trade and has loved working with wood ever since moving into our home and having enough space for a workshop! What began as a small hobby to make pieces for our house, as well as gifts for friends and family, soon grew into a big passion. After several years of honing his skills and designs he’s finally decided to take a big leap to share his talent with all of you! He specializes in cutting boards, home furniture, and product design.

Leah is a personal trainer, fitness coach, and endurance racing enthusiast with a background in graphic design and marketing. As a mom of 2 littles, she is no stranger to 'the nap-time hustle' and is always in the process of trying to balance mom life with a growing woodworking business and coaching on the side. Her passion for fitness and triathlon, as well as her Rocky Mountain upbringing, influences a lot of the artwork and pieces we create!
